12月17日(日)コンゴ民主共和国とマリに送る支援物資の荷造りボランティアを行ったことをご報告いたします。 On Sunday, December 17th, Asian Kids Care held a volunteer activity to pack relief supplies to be sent to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Mali in Africa.

コンゴから来日したピーター夫妻の母国紹介と国際交流。送付先の人々の暮らしや子供の現状・ニーズなど、私たちの知らないことをたくさん教えてくださって、日本の皆様に感謝の言葉。相手国を知り、現地の人々と触れ合うことはとても大切ですね。送付先のニーズに応えて、中古であっても「自分がもらっても嬉しい状態の物」を私たちのまごころを添えて届けます。Mr. Peter and his wife, who came to Japan from Congo, introduced their home country and had international exchange. They spoke to the participants about people’s lives and needs, and expressed their gratitude. AKC will deliver relief supplies with our love and true heart.

物資は、ピーターさんがサポートしていたボコロ村サンピエール学校（小学校～高校）の子供に配布します。この学校は孤児も在籍し、孤児支援の基幹センターです。コンゴ支援は、彼が日本との支援を繋ぐキーパーソンになり、お互いのビデオレター交流もできました。また、マリ支援では、愛媛大学に留学したコナリ博士（現マリ大学教授）が物資を受け取って配布してくれます。こうした現地の信頼できる方が母国の支援リーダーになってくださり、貧困の子供たちの教育・生活を支えながら未来への人材育成を一緒に進めます。These will be distributed to children at Saint-Pierre School in Bokoro Village, which Mr. Peter supported. Additionally, in support of Mali, Dr. Konare, who studied at a Japanese university, will receive supplies and distribute them in Bamako, Mali. Together with these support leaders, we are developing human resources who will support the education and lives of children and carry the future of the country.

この支援活動には、日本の子供や若い世代も加わっています。彼らは「英語を活用したい。国際協力をしたい。社会貢献活動をしたい。SDGｓで衣類等を海外で再利用したい。総合的な探求の時間で国際理解を学びたい。」など、動機は様々ですが、一歩前に踏み出すことに大きな意義があり、私たちはこうした行動を応援しています。ボランティア活動を通して、『現地の子供の笑顔に自分たちも笑顔になった。私たちの行動が学校に行けなかった子供の生活に変化をもたらしたことが嬉しかった。同世代の子供の役に立っていることが確認できて良かった。自分がいかに恵まれた環境にあることを知り感謝の気持ちが芽生えた。日本の良さや日本製品の優秀さを外国人の目から理解できた。』などの感想を持ち、グローバルな視野や自己肯定感を育んでいることに喜びを感じます。

今回、箱詰めした荷物は、持参してくださった参加者の方々、大阪のNPO法人グッドライフ、NPO法人アゴラ、（財）関奉仕財団、松山東高校等、多くの皆様からの善意のご提供品を梱包しました。心から感謝を申し上げます。 Japanese children and young generations are also participating in this support activity. They have motivations such as “I want to cooperate internationally” and “I want to do social contribution activities, ” and we support these actions.Through their volunteer work, they said, “The smiles on the faces of the local children made us smile, ” and “We were happy that our actions made a difference in the lives of children who had difficulty going to school. ” and so on.I was pleased that they developed a global perspective and a sense of self-confidence.This time, the packaged items were provided by many Japanese collaborators.
